About Me

I am excited to be joining the team at Evolve Counseling and Wellness Center. After years of private practice in Illinois, I just moved to Decatur and am looking forward to exploring this beautiful area and building ties with my new community.

I am passionate about using acupuncture, chiropractic, mind-body techniques and lifestyle changes to help my patients live healthier, fuller, happier lives. I have experienced how powerful natural medicine can be in improving quality of life and am dedicated to helping the people in my community do just that. I am here to guide, educate and to support you in reaching your wellness goals.

I was born in Yerevan, Armenia, and a few years later my family immigrated to the United States. I was always a very athletic kid, but after some injuries, my junior high and high school years were plagued with chronic pain that interfered with sleep and daily activities. In my case, physical therapy did not help, and surgery was the only other option that was offered to me. Luckily my family searched for an alternative, and after just 3 acupuncture treatments, I was completely pain free. I knew then and there that I needed to learn more about acupuncture and that I wanted my career to be about helping make a difference for others.

After finishing my Doctor of Chiropractic degree and Masters in Acupuncture, I have pursued many hours of postgraduate training in the areas that I am most passionate about. These include Acupuncture for fertility and IVF, stress, anxiety, depression, digestive issues, and pain and headaches.

I have also dedicated many years to learning Professional Applied Kinesiology to be able to use biofeedback to customize my treatments. I am also proud to be trained in Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). This is a wonderful, evidence based system to address the mind-body connection to alleviate symptoms related to stress; I find this indispensable in my practice. I have also studied specialty adjusting techniques for pregnant women and pediatrics. I am currently delving more into functional neurology and functional medicine.
