About Me

I am thrilled to be joining the team at Evolve Counseling and Wellness Center! Originally from Massachusetts, I relocated to Georgia to attend Emory University’s APA accredited internship and now call Atlanta my home. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and I specialize in working with people who present with obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, anxiety, panic, phobias in addition to disordered eating, eating disorders, negative body image, and borderline personality disorder. I also enjoy seeing clients with concerns related to adjustment, co-existing medical conditions, first generation stress, and interpersonal relationships.

I have worked and trained in a variety of settings, including college counseling centers, community mental health centers, and partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. In my work with clients I draw on a variety of therapy approaches and have received specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

My approach to therapy is integrative with a focus on the therapeutic relationship. Context, choice, collaboration, and connection guide my work with clients. I believe that trust must be earned within the therapy space, and I work to build a collaborative, warm, and supportive environment that promotes growth, autonomy, and exploration. As an integrative therapist, I use interventions from CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, and interpersonal process therapy all within a multicultural and feminist context. This means that therapy with me may include exploring a client’s social relationships and the impact of the systems that we live in on current concerns. I also incorporate specific coping skills to relieve distress and to help clients live more satisfying lives. Additionally, I recognize that systemic inequalities can contribute to an individual’s concerns and incorporate this frame into my treatment.

I value utilizing an individualized and intentional approach with each client through the use of evidence-based therapies to provide the most effective therapy possible. I am passionate about my work and I am committed to empowering and serving as an advocate for my clients.
