About Me
Although originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, my education and research experiences have taken me across the USA (Arkansas, Michigan, Florida, Georgia) and world (Panama, Peru, Spain, Kenya, Mexico, Slovakia, Israel). I understand first-hand the importance of intergenerational healing and am invested in empowering individuals to overcome fears and cultivate their own innate bravery.
I specialize in providing exposure therapy and other evidence-based treatments to individuals who struggle with problems related to trauma, anxiety, and fear-based difficulties. I use a flexible approach to individually tailor evidence-based tools and treatments to each client based on values, culture, and client needs. As a therapist, I celebrate all of life’s moments. A mantra that resonates with me both personally and professionally is, “Do a brave thing every day.” I love working with clients who are motivated to self-discover and grow. I work best with clients who appreciate a therapist who brings in lots of positivity and enthusiasm. I harness this energy to increase client momentum and boost motivation. Mental health struggles can seem to make the world feel small. Through therapy, my hope is to re-expand my clients’ worlds, so that they can reconnect with what matters most to them.
Aside from my clinical work, I am committed to clinical research that focuses on improving mental health treatment using strength-based and values-based approaches that consider diversity, cultural, and individual factors.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, watching Survivor and 90 Day Fiancé, making earrings, language learning, and finding new foodie spots in Atlanta.
